Qabess is an IOT startup with a mission to make smart products that are more user-friendly. Their first product is a smart plug, designed to make home automation simple and affordable. All customers need to do is plug the device into a wall outlet, and then use their smartphones to set it up in minutes. Once plugged in, they can attach any home appliance or device to it.

Qabess will start to learn after a few days of use and will begin to automate everyday tasks, like turning off devices when not in use. This can save customers up to 200 USD a year on electricity bills in the US. Some appliances, like water heaters/coolers, consume a lot of energy even when not in use. Qabess will learn when customers need these appliances and can save more than 10% of energy by disconnecting them at night.
